Commercial policies

Service, privacy and acceptable-use terms.

These policies are the product baseline and should be reviewed with Lesotho legal counsel before the first external commercial contract.

Terms of Service

Mailbox DNS provides managed business email, authoritative DNS, Webmail, backup and related infrastructure services. Customers are responsible for accurate account information, protecting credentials, lawful use, payment of invoices and authority over domains they onboard. Service may be suspended for abuse, non-payment after applicable grace periods, security emergencies or legal requirements. Customers retain ownership of their content and domain data.

Acceptable Use Policy

The service may not be used for unsolicited bulk email, phishing, credential theft, malware distribution, harassment, unlawful content, deliberate reputation abuse, open relaying or attempts to compromise other systems. We may throttle, suspend or investigate accounts whose activity threatens platform reputation, other customers or network security.

Privacy & Data Handling

We process account information, operational logs, support records, billing records and mailbox data only as required to provide and secure the service. Administrative access is audited. Mail content is not used for advertising. Customers should configure their own retention requirements and should avoid sharing credentials or private keys with support personnel.

Service Level & Support Policy

Production targets are monitored through the platform operations stack. Planned maintenance should be announced where practical. Incident priority is based on customer impact. Service credits, if offered under a commercial contract, are governed by that signed contract rather than this public summary.

Backup & Retention Policy

Encrypted backups and restore drills are part of the platform design. Backups are for disaster recovery and are not a substitute for customer retention policies. Archived or canceled accounts may be retained for a limited operational grace period before secure deletion according to the applicable contract and legal requirements.
